Leonard Cohen
Leonard Cohen was born with the gift of a golden voice, in Montreal, in 1934, to a family tracing its roots to high priests, and added to that a platinum sense of irony. He was soon combining both in a country-and-western group, the Buckskin Boys, formed when he was a teenager, and after studying English at McGill, he embarked on the life of a wandering troubadour.
