Member Benefits

Promoting Kansas City

The role of the CVA is to market its members to the more than 16.5 million business and leisure visitors who travel to Kansas City each year. The CVA currently has over 1,600 members. CVA members specialize in a variety of products, services and industries across the Kansas City area. Members range from hotels, restaurants and shops to magazines, event venues and fitness centers.

Marketing Tools

The CVA provides detailed information on both leisure and business travelers to its members. The Convention Digest, only available to level two and three members, is a valuable tool for businesses interested in marketing their company to business travelers. The digest lists conventions booked in Kansas City now through the next few years. Members can also sign up to access daily Convention Leads postings about groups or organizations interested or scheduled to hold a meeting or convention in Kansas City. This allows members to directly market themselves to these groups or organizations.

Meet the CVA

On select dates during the year, the CVA holds an orientation for prospective and current members. The membership orientation/refresher gives members a general understanding of the departments and services offered by the CVA.

Networking Opportunities

The CVA also hosts several networking opportunities for its members every few months. Known as the KCCVA Showcase series, these after-hours social events allow members to interact with other members, as well as business professionals in Kansas City.
