KC's famous, historic steak & chop house. Located in the old stockyards area with memorabilia and photos of the past that include 1917 fire, 1951 flood and the historic stockyards. The bar features a 20-foot mural of a western cattle drive and the restaurant has a distinctive western feel. Also serves fabulous Kansas City barbecue, great martinis and Rob Roys. Private dining: 120 ppl.

The Golden Ox is my favorite steak house in KC. The Kansas City Strip is out of this world! Servers like Chris and Springer the steak slinger are the best as is Mike the Mgr and Steve and Bill the owners. When the Big 8 was in Kemper this was a great ISU hangout. It still can be.
