Whether you're enjoying the world's largest tailgate party or witnessing one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL, nowhere does football quite like Kansas City.
Founded in Kansas City in 1963, the Chiefs are a top draw in the region with more than 12 million fans in their proud history. The Chiefs and the St. Louis Cardinals played the inaugural game at Arrowhead Stadium on Aug. 12, 1972. Since then, the field has witnessed the legendary likes of Len Dawson, Buck Buchanan and Derrick Thomas -- all wearing the team's signature red and gold.
Arrowhead remains one of the nation's top venues for fans to experience the excitement of collegiate or NFL football. The stadium and the fans that consistently fill it -- a red sea of 80,000 loyal spectators -- have helped produce a distinct home-field advantage for the Chiefs. Since 1992, no NFL team has had a better regular season home-winning percentage than Kansas City.
In April 2006, Jackson County voters approved a sales tax to help fund a total renovation of Arrowhead and adjacent Kauffman Stadium, home to the Kansas City Royals. Slated for a 2010 completion, Arrowhead will receive more than $325 million in improvements -- including wider concourses, more restrooms, more concession stands, a new stadium club, a Chiefs store and a museum.

As a KC native, I love sports and I love the KC Chiefs. Sure, there are plenty of years where that means watching tough losses and enduring a bit of quarterback controversy, but the atmosphere in early fall with beautiful weather makes for a great day. I've sent in a couple pictures from my visit last year to year to see the Chiefs play the Bengals.
Picture #1 "Quarterback Controversy"- Commentary - This lovely pic shows three Chiefs quarterbacks playing (warming up) at the same time.. I found it a riot to submit for this year as the Chiefs seem to get a new quarterback every week. Maybe we should just go ahead and start 3 of them each game and confuse the heck out of the other teams! :)
Picture #2 - "Team up with Nick" - Commentary - Every day in KC and at Arrowhead is great fun, on this day my girlfriend, Megan B. and I got a chance to meet Nick Lachey as he was in town to support his charity foundation with Larry Johnson for Internet Saftey Day. A great cause bringing out "star-studded fans". A side note to the story, I took this picture using my girlfriends HOT PINK camera, to which Nick was noteably impressed and said "Nice camera you have there..." :)
Picture #3 - "Cow Town" - Commentary - Well, we are called a cow town for several reasons, I just didn't know that they also attended Chiefs games and wear flowers! Good fun... come on - another great reason to LOVE KC.
Cheers!

There are so many fun things to do in KC, but fall means football season and that is definitely my favorite! I attended my first game at Arrowhead last season and am hooked! It's a roaring stadium filled with fun fans and tight fannies... and who ever said football was a guy thing??

I grew up in Kansas City and I have to say that going to Arrowhead to watch the Chiefs is my favorite thing to do. We don't just go for the game either. We are up and waiting in line at 6am for every home game. We have the tailgating down to an art. GO CHIEFS!!!
