Oceans of Fun, the largest tropically themed water park in the Midwest, offers 60 acres of splashing excitement and fun for every member of the family.
Thrill seekers can challenge the storm of Hurricane Falls, a daunting 72-foot tall super slide that sends rafts of up to five sliders twisting down a flume of river rapids. Feed your need for speed with the dual race slides of Typhoon, float your way down the vertical drop of Aruba Tuba or just get soaked on the notorious body slides of Diamond Head.
Guests of all ages are drawn to the fun at Paradise Falls -- a water funhouse that includes water cannons, sprays, tipping pails, net crawls, rope bridges and waterslides and much, much more. This tropical atmosphere also features a 1,000-gallon bucket located at the top of the playhouse. Every five minutes, the gigantic bucket fills and empties as water gushes on anyone and everyone below.
Kids will have a blast in Crocodile Isle, a 2,000 square foot spray ground complete with mini water slides and Captain Kidd's Pirate Ship. Adults and kids alike will enjoy Coconut Cove, 20,000 square feet of water refreshment with floating animal friends and a lily pad path.
Those who prefer pure relaxation can float along the Caribbean Cooler, an 800-foot gently flowing lazy river. Adults will find their own hideaway at Castaway Cove, a water rendezvous featuring a swim-up cabana serving tropical refreshments. And for a beach within reach, enjoy the surf at the one-million gallon Surf City wave pool.
Oceans of Fun is also a great place for group outings. The park offers facilities for catered picnics that accommodate groups from 40 to over 500. With discounted group ticket packages, personalized events and full service planning, Oceans of Fun will help you beat the summer heat.

My husband and I have a 16 month old and my husband works 6 days a week. So it is rare that we get a break, but when we did we headed to KC for fun and relaxation. KC is only 3 short hours away by car and there is so much to do there. There are adult and kid venues so it suits our family perfectly! Pictures are attached of our trip a month ago, July 2008, Oceans of Fun and Country Club Plaza!
