Go green for the holidays. Everyone’s favorite ogre sings and stomps his way into Coterie Theatre for Shrek The Musical (thru Dec. 30).
Meet Mr. Dickens. Enjoy high tea, dinner and A Christmas Carol with Gerald Charles Dickens himself—the great, great grandson of the literary master—at The Elms Resort & Spa (Nov. 15).
Rock out, Rudolph. The sounds of the season continue at Sprint Center with what many consider to be its ultimate soundtrack—Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s Lost Christmas Eve (Dec. 9).
Catch the holiday spirit. A local staple for more than 10 years, Quality Hill Playhouse’s Christmas in Song features some of KC’s most talented singers in an intimate setting (Nov. 23-Dec. 24).
Go ahead, sing along. Back by popular demand is A Spectacular Christmas by Musical Theater Heritage, a cabaret modeled after primetime television specials of yesteryear (Dec. 6-23).
Solve a holiday whodunit. A murder on the Polar Express? Summon your inner sleuth for Mystery Train’s Christmas Conundrum (Nov. 16-Jan. 5).
Jingle all the way. The kid-centric fun continues with the Christmas Festival, a festive family sing-along featuring costumed characters and the 80-person Kansas City Symphony (Dec. 13-16).
Mix up a merry mystery. Hilarity ensues at Unicorn Theatre as Inspecting Carol follows the holiday high jinx of a down-on-its-luck theatre company (Nov. 28-Dec. 23).
