Whoville Theme Sets the Stage for Holiday Fun at The City Market
Meet the Grinch in the warmth of Cindy Lou Who’s home and visit the Whoville Holiday children’s activity area every Saturday between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Whoville Holidays is a FREE event, but donations are encouraged in our “Help A Who” campaign. Bring either three canned goods for Harvesters or a new, unwrapped toy for the Salvation Army.
The Grinch will be available in the Who home where all visiting Who’s are encouraged to bring a camera and take a picture with The Grinch. Little Who children’s activities include making Whoville-themed tree ornaments, a Grinch mask, word search, coloring pages and more activities managed by Odd Ball Kids.

Shop The City Market for all your Holiday Needs
As you gather with friends and family, don’t forget The City Market has everything you need for a holiday to remember. Between the holidays, plan a family outing to The City Market, visit the Steamboat Arabia and have lunch at any one of nine restaurants while shopping for some after-holiday specials.
Merchants are happy to assist shoppers who are searching for global flavors by opening the door to traditions from around the world and items to stock your pantry full of inspiration or to help you warm someone’s heart with unique gift options, gift certificate or a custom gift basket.
Additional shopping is available in the heated pavilion on Saturdays through Christmas where you will find Farmers’ Market vendors, many of whom will take special orders for baked goods and gift baskets. As weather permits, the Sunday Market will continue with the Sunday Yard Sale, featuring antiques, collectables and more. Locally grown produce is still available at the City Market, the only year-round farmers’ market in the Kansas City area.
Winter farmers’ market hours are Saturday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
