Several events and discounts headline Veterans Day weekend at the National WWI Museum and Memorial:
- Free admission for veterans and active duty military personnel; half-price admission for the general public (Friday-Sunday, Nov. 10-12)

Veterans Day Celebration
Patriotic performances, exhibits and activities highlight this Overland Park festivity, including an air show, helicopters on display, food trucks and more.

Independence is home to the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum, where visitors are welcome to attend a patriotic performance by The Spirit of Independence Concert Band, included with Museum admission.

Leavenworth County Veterans Day Parade
Travel less than 45 minutes northwest of Downtown KC to Leavenworth, Kan., where you’ll find the largest Veterans Day parade west of the Mississippi River—the oldest observance of the holiday in the country.
