Fleur-ette returns on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, (10 a.m.-1 p.m.) at The Hobbs: A Kansas City Event Space (1427 W 9th St. Kansas City, MO 64101). This immersive luncheon for Powell Gardens, Kansas City’s botanical garden, combines the splendor of nature, the art of living beautifully, and the joy of giving back.
Fleur-ette is a premier fundraising event is designed to celebrate and support Powell Gardens. This year, guests will delight in special guest speaker Marshall Watson and more!

It’s time to make a splash and say good-bye to summer! Join Liberty Parks & Rec at City Park for the second annual Splash Bash. Wear your swimsuits, bring your beach towels and don’t forget the sunscreen because it’s about to be a summer whirlwind at the sprayground.
There will be FREE Kona Ice set up in the parking lot, temporary glitter tattoos and a wild bubble party! It's the best way to wave goodbye to summer and live it up before schools starts!

42nd Annual Kid's Fishing Derby

Kids ages 2 to 15 show off their angling skills at this fun-filled family event. The first 200 will receive a free fishing pole from Pure Fishing. Activities include casting clinics, fishing demonstrations, and prizes for the top three heaviest fish in each age category: ages 6 and under, ages 7 to 10, and ages 11 to 15.
Sheep Shindig

Come join us at Missouri Town Living History Museum for Sheep Shindig on May 3rd from 9am- 4pm. Enjoy a day filled with family fun, games, crafts and music! Learn about 19th century wool production from sheep to shawl!. Watch our flock receive their annual shearing, try your hand at spinning and weaving, and watch out interpreters demonstrate the wool making process from sheep shearing to carding and beyond. You’ll even be able to purchase the fleeces produced by our flock!
