After a long winter, Powell Gardens welcomes Painted Garden. Celebrate the joy and color spreading across the Gardens with inventive botanical displays, spring blooms, and works of art. Rooted in Kansas City’s art community with new work by Tyler Kimball (Monarch Glass Studio) and other artwork by local artists, Powell Gardens invites you to imagine the Garden as a gallery this spring.

Join us this summer as the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium’s animal residents are joined by their prehistoric ancestors!
Dinosaurs Around the World, produced by Imagine, is free with Zoo admission and Friends of the Zoo memberships. You’ll find 13 life-size animatronic dinosaurs located throughout the topside of the Zoo within easy walking distance from the front gate.
Garden to Glass Cocktail Class

Sip into the season with our Garden to Glass Cocktail Class! Led by our Lead Mixologist, Carlos Avalos, this hands-on experience will have you crafting vibrant, garden-inspired cocktails that taste like spring in a glass. Join us Thursday, May 1st or Thursday, May 15th, with sessions from 6-7 PM and 8-9 PM. Tickets are $40 per person. KantCon’s mission is to bring people together to play tabletop games at a fun Kansas City convention. We are a not-for-profit volunteer group that organizes three days of fun every summer since 2009. Over the course of the convention, KantCon hosts a wide range of gaming events from board games, card games, roleplaying, miniatures and more. Attendees also can enjoy access to the huge KantCon Game Library with hundreds of games available for check out to play on the fly.
